Re: Howie Tickets Selling Fast!

Howie.... seriously, I love you... I really really love you. But I am truly disappointed in the show that you put on in Ames. I waited forever to finally see you perform....since you cancelled twice on Ames...only to hear you play like a 50 minute show. I was sad, I thought that since you made everyone wait for soooo damn long that you would put on the best show ever, man was I wrong. I mean the songs you played were good, but I saw you many times before, Omaha at the Waiting Room, and Qwest in Minneapolis (way back in the day) and those shows are nothing like what I saw tonight.... I am not sure if the person who yelled for you to play Radiohead, or maybe all the people taking video of you, but thats not something you should hurt all your die hard fans for. Honestly, I have to go to work in morning, I wasted my sleep time for your show.... bummer. Maybe next time, because I will all ways go see you again when you are in town, just because I know how great you can be. Sorry for being harsh, but I was really really disappointed. Sad

Ames Concert

I was at your concert in Ames, and I have to agree with the post above. I was disappointed. I am a HUGE fan and was so excited to see you live for the first time. This was the 3rd time that I drove to Ames - the first two times I got there only to find out the show was canceled. But nothing would have stopped me from coming to see you. I totally get it if you were upset by the quiet crowd, but not everybody was. I was in the loud group up front to your left. You referred to us a couple of times like "o.k. any else besides these guys?" I love your music and could see your play list and you didn't get anywhere near the end of it. When you left without saying anything, not even a thank you, I was sure you were coming back. The girl next to me, who was a die hard fan and had seen you live 8 times, said you weren't, that you were pissed and wouldn't come back - and she was right. I had so hoped to meet you - but instead you stormed off. If you felt like you were teaching your audience a lesson, what you really did was punish your die hard fans. I bought Sound the Alarm the first day it was available. I hound our local radio station to play you on a regular basis - check it out - Star 102.5 on facebook. You will see my posts where I thank them everytime they play you and I encourage them to play more. Regardless whether or not you wanted to be there - there were a lot of us who had really did and were really excited to see you and it was so disappointing to have you snub your own fans.
